DOWNTOWN FARMERS MARKET
The Downtown Milford Farmer's
Market will officially open Saturday,
April 26th, 2008 and run through the end of
October. The market,
which is partially funded through a grant from
Delaware Department
of Agriculture, operates every Saturday from 9:00
a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Visitors can purchase fresh, locally grown in-season
products such
as produce, flowers, herbs, meats, eggs, and much more.
The Milford area is well known for the
outstanding quality of its
locally raised cantaloupes, watermelons, strawberries, and sweet
corn. Several vendors provide herbs and
organically grown products.
Fresh baked apple dumplings, pies and breads are also sold.
Art and craft items are available, as well as seasonal craft items such
as handmade wreaths and painted
pumpkins.
The market is located on Walnut Street near the Mispillion Riverwalk
in downtown Milford.
Farmers, gardeners, artists,
crafters and other vendors can reserve space to present and sell their
products. Please Please contact the DMI office for further
information concerning vendor sales or market questions.
